When we retired to Camano Island, I was inspired by the many wonderful artists here. The Pacific Northwest is so beautiful and the sunsets are incredible!
For many years I have
attended studio groups and workshops. My
favorite medium is oil paint, because of the vibrant colors and textures that
can be achieved. I also use acrylics and
enjoy creating etched art. I have been
involved in artistic endeavors most of my life, including creating coloring
books for the National Wildlife Service, painted book covers and wine bottle
labels, jewelry making, glass painting, fabric painting, cross stitch, and
crochet, among others. Color has always
been a big part of my work. Places I
would like to visit are frequent subjects of my paintings. Animals also hold a large place in my
heart. I love their character and
expressions.
This world has a tremendous amount of beauty, offering so much
inspiration. So many ideas and so little
time!
