In the late '80s, photo ops were on every corner. Not just for Calvin Klein photographer Bruce Weber and director Michael "Miami Vice" Mann, but for anyone with an eye and a point-and-shoot.
As the original Up Late scene columnist for Ocean Drive, I covered the beachfront. I never left home without my camera. Inspired by Warhol-ites Paige Powell and Tama Janowitz and Patrick McMullan, I shot what I liked.
