Art - A Spiritual Journey

 I went through a period in my life where spiritual development became very important to me. As my artistic talent has been given to me by God I wanted to use it in my personal growth. Using art in this way is a beautiful and satisfying experience. There are some drawings I have produced in a semi meditative state.

To me creating is a fundamental human need. In natural and harmonious surroundings I feel the pull to celebrate the beauty by putting, not only the artwork, but my heart on the paper. Every piece of art I create has a part of my soul included in it. Nature enhances my senses and my mind overflows with creative ideas. In contrast, while in a busy and stressful environment, creativity keeps me sane and gives me a release from the madness of life.

As I go through the creative process my fears and hopes and dreams come out in the art I produce. Art and spirituality are very closely linked to each other...after all...what an amazing artist God is to have created the beauty we see on earth.
