A tranquil fish pond in rural North Carolina provides the subject matter for this “pondscape” still life. The scene is borrowed from childhood memories spent fishing with a favorite uncle. And, while he reeled in fish after fish, I was content to enjoy the scenery of nature whilst the crappies robbed my fishhook of it’s bait over and over again! A gorgeous still life featuring realistic renderings of sunlight reflections and wonderful foreshortened perspective on the boats. I enjoy these boat paintings and hope you do too.
