Volume two of my Photographs from the Street: Aberdeen Cats is underway.  I have received such positive feedback on the first volume that I am inspired to carry on with this fun photography project.

I acted as the Artist Liaison for the Grays Harbor College Fall Gala.  Over 20 area artists were represented.  I also curated and helped install the exhibit.  It was a lot of work, but very rewarding.

I curated a new exhibit this month, with an opening reception on April 11.  There are 20 local artists exhibiting a total of 39 works of art.  The staff and patients at the hospital rave about how lovely it is to have beautiful art to look at.

I am happy that my art photography book is now carried by the wonderful bookstore in Elma, Washington, OddDuck Books.  The also wonderful bookstore, Harbor Books, in Hoquiam, Washington, also carries it.  Harbor Books will take on-line orders and mail out to you.  For more info, contact me here or contact the bookstores directly.

My treasured friend Nancy Farrar Coughlin created this collage for my book of photographs of Aberdeen Cats.  Her gorgeous cat Phoenix was not featured in the book as he is too shy to stay on the window ledge when I approach.  Maybe next time, Phoenix!  You can see more of her collages and her paintings at nancyfarrarcoughlin.com.

In addition to creating art, I also serve as the director and curator of the Healing Gallery in the HRH Community Hospital here in Aberdeen, WA.  Because of the pandemic, the show I curated in February 2020 was closed to the public until February 2023!  The hospital now allows a few visitors at a time and I was able to bring a friend to help add new art and reorganize the existing art.  The staff and patients of the hospital are very grateful to have some beautiful art to look at during difficult times.

As you can see from my last entry here, I let this website languish for several years.  In those years, however, I have been very active creating new oil paintings.  I have also started a street photography project that I hope to soon turn into a book.  Please check out my new paintings.  I have not yet posted my recent photographs but will do so in the near future.  Thank you for visiting my website and reading my newsletter.  I appreciate your support and interest in my art.

I have two photographs in the Factory on 5th Sixth Annual Peoples Art Show.  February 6 through 27, 2015.  Opening reception February 6th from 6-10 p.m.  Location: 5G Gallery, 1715 5th Street NW in Albuquerque.

I have two small pieces in this group show at the New Mexico Art League, 3409 Juan Tabo NE, in Albuquerque.  The show runs from December 4 to December 27, 2014, with an opening reception December 13 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

Just found out I had two photographs accepted into Black & White: An Exhibit of Drawings and Photographs, at the New Mexico Art League in Albuquerque, January 11 to February 22, 2014.

I have been juried into "The last Spooky Show" at the LightBox Photographic Gallery at 1045 Marine Drive in Astoria, Oregon.  The show runs from October 12 to November 5, 2013, with an opening reception the evening of October 12.  For more info, go to their website at lightbox-photographic.com.  I just may travel to Astoria for this!

My painting Blue Dancer will be in a group show from September 1-28, 2013, at Yoga Mike Studio Blue, 2205 Silver SE, Albuquerque, NM.  Gallery hours are Friday from 1-7 p.m., Saturday from 4-7 p.m., and by appointment.
