14-010 Beaded Glass Cab Pendant

This piece stars another fabulous glass cab made by Mitosis Glass in Calgary.

I started this piece by making a copper bezel setting for the cab. I wanted it to look organic, so I distressed the top edge. Next step was to drill some holes all around the bezel and insert some tube bezels. This was so the metal of the bezel plate would not cut the beading wire. The next step was to bead with gay abandon with colors that would coordinate with the beauty of this piece of glass art. Finally, I beaded a bale, through which you can insert your chain.

The result is a totally unusual pendant, a combination of love from 2 artists.
