Art has been a part of me and my life since childhood. Nothing was better than getting a giant box of crayons or watercolor set under the Christmas tree. I grew up in Michigan and art was always a class I chose all through school. From art contests, to portraits of teachers, and working on the stage backdrops for plays- I loved it all.
I began art studies at Wayne State University in Detroit and finished with an AA in Language Arts/Fine Art at Southwestern College in California. I also received an AA in Nursing. I am a member of local Art Guilds and have studied with fine community artists. I have received recognition and ribbons in local and juried shows . Art is a continual discovery of new and exciting techniques through
private lessons, workshops, and online studies. My latest passion is
plein air painting.
