About
Art has been a part of me and my life since childhood. Nothing was better than getting a giant box of crayons or watercolor set under the Christmas tree. I grew up in Michigan and art was always a class I chose all through school. From art contests, to portraits of teachers, and working on the stage backdrops for plays- I loved it all.
I began art studies at Wayne State University in Detroit and finished with an AA in Language Arts/Fine Art at Southwestern College in California. I also received an AA in Nursing. I am a member of local Art Guilds and have studied with fine community artists. I have received recognition and ribbons in local and juried shows .

Color Expressions at the Rancho Bernardo Library in San Diego.Myself and Betty Rexford will present a 2 artist show running July, August and September. on the second floor of the library. viewing is anytime during library hours. address is 17110 Bernardo Center Drive, San Diego, Ca. 92128. A summer plein air oil painting session hosted by" Art on 30th". I had a very enjoyable time along with 7 other artists. Painting with an audience and commentary was a new experience for me. Tourists, roving young adult students, and seranading musicians rounded out the painting sessions. Fun ! Painting will be posted on completion.
San Diego Fair at Del Mar, Ca. 2018
I had an painting juried into the county fair this year and received an honorable mention ribbon. This is a plein air piece done at the Blue Sky Preserve in Poway, Ca; The Fine Art division had 1,850 entries. A really fun place to view some beautiful art.
