This painting captures the bay at its’ best, sparkling blue skies with puffy white clouds rollicking in the currents, and waves breaking on golden sands.
The Capitola Wharf, in one form or another has been there since the 1850’s, and has been “remodeled” periodically by ferocious storms.
Painted with fine French acrylics over a stretched 4 by 12 eight ounce cotton duck gallery wrap canvas, by local artguy, Vern Scharf, and coated with multiple coats of acrylic varnishes to protect the view for generations to come.
