Bodhisattva an animated short film

Bodhisattva an animated short film

Courage and vulnerability. From my point of view, true courage is acknowledging one's vulnerabilities and courageously going forward despite them. I admire the Bodhisattva archetype- a being whose main desire is to be of benefit to all living beings, even in the face of adversity. Ironically I was hesitant about posting my short film, Bodhisattva. Whenever an artist creates a work of self expression, it's an invitation into the psychology of the artist where there is a great deal of vulnerability and exposure. In my film Bodhisattva we are introduced to our heroine bodhisattva who, like a newborn, is fragile and vulnerable. She generates the mind of bodhicitta- the mind that strives toward awakening and compassion for the benefit of all sentient beings. The old structures crumble and in the midst of that, one gets a glimpse of the "overview effect" where the idea of boundaries are seen as nothing more than thoughts and symbols within a dream.
