We don't get wintry weather every year in the SouthWest of England, and when we get it we tend to stay indoors... But I didn't about a year ago, I clumb up to the tors overlooking Tavy Cleave on the western edge of Dartmoor, got caught in a snow shower and when the sun broke through saw some fantastic views of the river Tavy covered lightly in snow. This is the result. Acrylics on a 24" x 18" (61 x 45 cm approx) deep edge canvas, varnished and ready to hang.
Painted in a spontaneous fashion onto a medium sized deep-edge canvas this oil painting gives a good impression of what I saw. It doesn't show you my frozen ears and nose... Ready to hang.
