We don't get heavy snow very often in the SouthWest of England, but this is from one of those winters, when I did a magical walk between Bucks Mill and Clovelly, a walk that included seeing a pair of choughs (a rare corvid bird that is not supposed to live here). The little footbridge helps to give definition and scale to the overall image. I love the deep black charcoal stick I am working with here. Fixative applied to prevent smudging.30 x 25 cm charcoal stick on paper.
