Everything in Fran's South Beach apartment was white. I told her she had to be white, too. She put on one of the many t-shirts she cut up to be cooler, and white socks, no white shoes. I met Fran on this same block in 1987 one night when she was scouting for models waiting for Woody's (Ron Wood) to open. She was sitting with Harold Mindel and I was on assignment with Doug Vann, my photographer, who recognized Fran instantly. That was the beginning of a wonderful friendship.
