Daily Painting: Cool Eggs

The abstract work of Laura Horn has been inspiring me lately, so I tried to use that impulse without directly imitating her paintings.  These "eggs" are the result.  My main problem with them is that the acrylics I am using are not very opaque, yielding somewhat blotchy areas of paint.  This is true even of "opaque" acrylics.  Would like to find a paint that is more even-looking.
