Daily Painting: Rachael Revised

Rather than start something new, I wanted to try to salvage yesterday's figure painting.  I repainted the head, making it smaller and clarifying the features (which hurt the likeness a bit, but improved the painting overall).  The dress has a visible texture, expressed by the brushstrokes, and the background is now a light blue, which looks better with the red dress.  There's also the suggestion of a chair,so the figure is no longer floating.  This still isn't a great painting, but it's way better than it was yesterday. I can probably improve it further by eliminating the large wrinkle at the top right of her bodice.  This wrinkle was really there when the model posed, but it adds needless confusion in the painting.
