Drawing Aja

That's me, second from the right. (Photo by Ilona Sturm)
I attended my first Dr. Sketchy event, which took place in Oakland at the Rockridge Improvement Club.  Aja posed in Edwardian clothing and underwear.  She's an excellent model, who was able to stand almost continuously for three hours, in heels, while delivering occasional mini-lectures on the details of Edwardian costume.  Lots of artists came, and the event was a total blast.  I drew in charcoal and/or pastel on Kraft paper.  At the end of the event, Aja was asked to choose her favorite three drawings.  I won second prize and got a small goodie bad of art supplies.  Would love to draw Aja again, and will attend the next Dr. Sketchy's event at RIC.
