One thing my drawings usually seem to need is a background, a context. These ornamented surfaces are a possible solution. I took pieces of smooth cardboard that had originally served as the backs of sketch pads, and used Mod Podge to collage them. In the future, I will either draw/paint directly on these surfaces, or cut out and collage parts of drawings done on other paper. Making these was a lot of fun!
