For the past few days, have been working on a block print, or, more accurately, a reduction print or "suicide" print. I started with a simple portrait drawing, and analyzed it into about five different layers, starting with the lightest color and ending with the darkest. I've made seven prints, and each time another color is printed on those seven sheets of paper, I go back to the block and cut away more. This is a time-consuming process, but fun.
