Forbidden Fruit
My interest and love of painting is centered around color more than subject matter.  Knowing how to mix and match color is an art in itself.  I enjoy creating new colors from existing colors.  My latest palette is a combination of rich colors and tones.  I never buy purple because I can create rich colors and shades of purple using different tones of blue and pink.  I create peach and orange using tones of pink and yellow and of course yellow and red.  The lime green I created and later added to my palette  completes the color scheme and makes the paintings pop.  Using paint straight from the tube is so ordinary; mixing and creating different colors is what excites me.  See the rest of my newest palette collection at the 2nd Saturday, Reception at Distinction Gallery and Artist Studios. 317 E Grand Ave. Escondido.  March 12th, 6-10pm.   Stop by studio 6 to check out my newest and the work of other great artists.  Enjoy a piece of my birthday cake when you visit.  Thanks for reading my blog update!
