A large cause for concern was the seized engine which failed to crank over manually by hand. With all spark plugs removed a generous amount of Corrosion X was fed into the bores and following several days the process was then repeated with diesel.
After sourcing a crank handle and reinforcing the boss with several welds a large push finally set the pistons free in their cylinders! This marked a monumental moment in the Pigs story but the true health of the engine was still unknown at this point.
