Myself and a small group of women artists
living on the Washington Coast are putting on an art exhibit of art representing resistance. We see the right-wing take over of our
nations arts as an attempt to squash artistic freedom of expression. Reminded of Germany in the 1930’s and the
establishment of the Reich Culture Chamber, which considered modern western art
to be “degenerate,” we decided to put on an art exhibit that would display art
in direct opposition to the right-wing in any country, in any age, taking away
artists’ freedom to create whatever art they want.
