Beautiful piece Karen! The shine of the apples; they glow, and each one has their own character. You always inspire me!

Can you get any better. Karen your work is incredible. Like one could reach out, grab it and take a bite. Amazing work. I can't wait to see what you do next.

I had the pleasure of presenting a pastel demonstration to the North County Fine Art Association in Rancho Bernardo Thursday evening. I admit to a case of nerves before I started, but they were very cordial and asked some great questions. I hope to post this painting as a WIP. Thank you to Vita Sorrentino, Valerie Raymond and Marilyn and Frank Callipari.

thank you for viewing my work. I wish you all the best. I just started with pastle a couple of years ago. I like the depth and softness you can get with pastle. carol

I would like to thank Susan Phillips and her AP art class at Grossmont High School for the invitation to share some of my pastel techniques. I was expecting ten students, but more than pleased to see there were 40. I was somehow able to paint standing behind my easel, snaking my arm forward and across the painting. I literally could not see what I was painting! I invited 2 student up to the easel to try a hand at pastel painting and they were amazing. Later, several art students stayed behind to try out the various pastels and papers.I have to say that they were some of the most polite and attentive young people I've had the pleasure to meet.  I'll start a work-in-progress on this painting.
