I'm posting the final/finished
'A Place to Hang Your Heart' chair's
images. As you may notice, there's a heart hanging from the back (upright) side
just below the arrow. This heart was purchased from Michael's to which I took a
nail file and sanded the design from its substrate and then painted it a bright
red.
Before spraying the chair with a
protective coat, I signed the underside of the seat, "Seat of the Soul #8. This
is what I have done with all of my hand painted chairs.
I sprayed the entire
chair with a triple thick glaze by Rust-Oleum brand. This dries with a clear
glass-like coating which helps pop and protect the chair's design.
Presently, it is on display
for silent bidding 'til the end of April. Of course, the hightest bidder will
be awarded the chair and the proceeds will go to the Sparrow Club.
If you have any questions
about my process or just want to chat . . . don't hesitate!
