ink on paper, 57 x 60cm O'Keefe's paintings were exploratory and innovative particularly her
abstract flowers. She lived to paint and achieved great success for a
woman of her time. No small thing in my mind that she comes from
Wisconsin where I grew up. It is her independent spirit as well as her
art which has always impressed me.
