About
While I explore diverse mediums and art forms I have an enduring love of drawing. It is through drawing that my personal expression best reveals itself. Charcoal, pastel, and graphite are my preferred mediums and faces and figures are my primary focus. I am captivated by the power of the portrait to evoke and communicate the human condition.
Over the last few years I have created an ongoing series of charcoal drawings inspired by old family photographs in which I explore themes of transience, impermanence, loss, and the passage of time within the context of human relationships and interconnectedness.
My work is in many private collections and has been exhibited in galleries, juried and non-juried shows, and public venues.
