About
I have an enduring love of drawing, and it is through drawing that my personal expression best reveals itself. Charcoal, pastel, and graphite are my preferred mediums and faces and figures are my primary focus. I am captivated by the power of the portrait to evoke and communicate the human condition.
My work is in many private collections and has been exhibited in galleries, juried and non-juried shows, and public venues.
Over the last few years I have worked on an ongoing series of charcoal drawings inspired by old family photographs in which I explore themes of transience, impermanence, loss, and the passage of time within the context of human relationships and interconnectedness.
