Artist directory :: Cathryn A. Ward -...I am primarily a watercolor artist. Most of my images are done in watercolor, with a few exceptions, which include pastels, acrylic, and pencil. I also design and make jewelry.
About
I was born and raised in San Diego. With the richness of the city's varied culture and scenic topography, I acquired a wide range of artistic interest. I ultimately chose art to be my educational pursuit. I have worked in advertising as an Illustrator and Art Director.
My choice of medium is watercolor, pastels, and graphite. The eccentricity of watercolor allows for a broader spectrum of originality and creativity both in realism and abstracts. Pastels and graphite, with its predictable properties, creates a superb variation in shading texture in representational pieces.
