I eliminate unessential details and use minimal representation in my abstractions. The organic, fluid style of my work suggests the changing natural landscape. Experiences in nature, whether rafting the Grand Canyon or observing plants in a forest, provide me endless inspiration and joy.

Many of us love nature and spend as much time as possible outdoors, or wishing we could. Our emotional connections and visual impressions of the natural world energize and refresh us.
Landscapes and seascapes are reflected in my paintings. Memories and experiences in nature provide inspiration and content. Viewers can see beyond the obvious, look deeper into the art and contemplate complexities in nature,
My journey to become an artist followed a career as a public - school teacher. Self-taught, I am fortunate to have had 2 inspiring mentors. Experiencing nature is paramount to me - whether on a neighborhood walk or having a challenging adventure.
