Bio
I live in southern New Mexico where we have long hot summers and somewhat cold winters. Black Bird Studio in Mesilla Park was founded here in 2019 and this is where I teach and do my own art. Here near my home in Mesilla, it's green with farmland and we have lots of migratory birds and at the Bosque you can find native wildlife too.
Drawing has always been a part of my life since I was a very young child. I won my first award and scholarship as early as junior high school and twice again as a high school student. As an adult, while working on my degree, I taught art at the elementary level.
