Sierra’s latest series explores the seasons of the garden and the gardener. With much love and patience, each mark of the pruner and paint brush…and a little imagination…a new bloom appears. Today, I will linger with the fresh rose buds, twisting vines, wilting leaves and pedals…embracing the season.

I am a pilgrim and daily painter who seeks to unearth the treasures of each day. As I gather my thoughts as well as my paints, I discern my spiritual gifts with a prayer and a cup of tea. I approach each canvas with a sense of wonder, joy and inquiry. I'm intuitive and I allow each mark to guide my path rather than relying on something from direct observation. I admit, I’m a bit of a perfectionist so my problem-solving is a long process. But eventually, within the layers, an impression forms from my soul and poetic imagination.

I’m dreaming of homesteading again…we’ve cast our net wide and dreaming BIG! I’m thinking of a peony flower farm since peonies are my favorite flower. Until then, I will continue to paint them.
