I've taken drawing lessons in childhood, mastered architectural illustration and a degree in a design field. Starting with watercolor, I've advanced to working with soft pastels. Always seeking subject matter that encompasses a sense of depth, starting with a blank page and creating an image with 3 dimensions, highlights and shadows are the artist's true goal. Depicting a variety of succulents is timely for this Southern California artist while experiencing severe drought conditions.
