These artworks date from the early 198ties and relate to my spiritual evolution at that time. I had grown out of a metaphysical and ontological understandings of what a human being is. I now consider humans as entities that exist in many dimensions. Most philosophical and religious thought thinks of human 'being' ( 'being' is a verb not a noun) as a creature that occupies two worlds - the temporal material world and the supernatural after death world). In this thinking, a human has a body and a soul. In a dimensional understanding of human being, we exist in many dimensions and will move from this current temporal material dimension into another, non-material dimension after we transition through 'death'. We do not know how many or the nature of any other dimension while we are in the current temporal one because there is no factual knowledge of what happens after death. My art reflects this spiritual stage as a breaking out of an antiquated and starting off in, a new understanding of human nature.
