Zen 3
Zen 3

£85

Here I am playing again with an abstract pattern using brush and Indian/Chinese ink. What fascinates me about repeating patterns like this is that no brush imprint is the same, so there is infinite individuality in what looks like repetition. And what if it actually was a code, and if you could read the lighter and darker, smaller and larger marks as an alphabet? There could be a text hidden in this work (there isn't...) only readable to the initiated...

To me works like this invite contemplation which is why I have called it Zen 3.
51 x 35.5 cm (sheet size); 45 x 30 (actual image size); Sennelier Indian ink on 300g acid free cotton paper.
