Dartmoor rapids at the West Okement
Dartmoor rapids at the West Okement

One of the Dartmoor rivers that eventually joins the Torridge and the sea in North Devon, its trajectory as it come off the moor is exciting and varied. These rapids are above Meldon reservoir. I have tried to capture the brilliance and expressive power of the moorland landscape on a bright winter's day.

Painted in acrylics on a 61 x 45 x 4cm (deep edge) Daler&Rowney quality canvas. Strung and ready to hang with white sides.
