Above the valley of Combe Martin on the edge of Exmoor is this green lane that leads to the great views on Great Hangman. It clearly has been used for eons and you can feel that when you walk here. Using the whole gamut of greens available to me (it's very green in this part of the world...) I've tried to capture the wildness and organised chaos that comes from the interaction between man and nature. Oil on box canvas, ready to hang; 30 x 41 cm approx.
