On the South West coastpath, near the village of Mortehoe and Morte Point, the coastal cliffs decidedly shift in colour from dark slate to a much lighter, nearly white tone. The result to me feels a bit exotic. Previously dangerous to round, here the coastline still looks west towards America, whilst at Morte Point the Bristol Channel starts/ends...
Executed in oils in a fluid expressive manner, this view will be recognisable to many who have walked the coastpath from holiday hotspot Mortehoe towards the lighthouse.
Painted on a 80 x 60 cm deep edge canvas this work is framed in a quality white tray-frame (see picture). Framed size 86 x 66 x 5cm.
