Atypical of my often nature based landscapes, this is an astfalt factory
near Gouda in the Netherlands. I loved its sculptural qualities, its
horizontal and vertical lines and colours, set against the natural
outlines of the Hollandse Ijssel river. Spontaneous sketchlike brushwork
in strong colours makes for a modern impressionistic work. Daler Rowney oils on a 50 x 40 cm Winsor & Newton artist's canvas. Framed in a sympathetic 55 x 45 cm frame (see picture) and ready to hang.
