St Patrick's Day Pélerine 1910/11

It seemed fitting to use my piece of vintage Irish linen for a St. Patricks Day ensemble for our sweet French Miss. Yes, Bleuette can be a Cailin  ( Gaelic spelling of Colleen-  girl) and as with all ethnic costumes, so appropriate for the Bleuette trousseau!

The La Semaine de Suzette cape pattern of 1911 , as well as the accompanying dress, were created from genuine Irish linen.  The cape is hand embroidered with shamrocks, and closes with two fabulous antique brass buttons . The airy, fine cotton sleeves and  lace are antique. Her underskirt that peeps out demurely is of  cotton batiste, trimmed with vintage cotton lace.

The delightful Swiss paglina bonnet is my own design, trimmed with linen rosettes and a vintage ribbon.  I sized this outfit to fit both reproduction and vintage Bleuettes.

Purchase with confidence. My creations will surpass your every expectation of fine materials, design and execution! The purchase of a Bluebird Textiles original will be the highlight of your own darling doll's trousseau!
