World War I Nurse 1915

Who can resist a darling Bleuette dressed as an angel of mercy?  This wonderful costume from 1915, Bleuette Ambulancière , translates to Ambulance Nurse . From the pleats of her pima broadcloth dress, to the crisp cotton voile coiffe, you will be completely charmed with this costume of the first World War. Our darling Nurse Bleuette wears a cotton apron with silk ties, as well as an  armband , both bearing the red cross insignia, expertly  hand embroidered with silk thread. Closure of dress and belt with vintage mother-of-pearl buttons.

Her hooded nurses cape, also with hand embroidered red cross, is a gorgeous twill woven  charcoal heather gray. The hood is lined with gray silk charmeause, and the antique button closure is brass.  I sized the costume to fit both vintage and reproduction Bleuettes.

Purchase with confidence. My creations will surpass your every expectation of fine materials, design and execution! The purchase of a Bluebird Textiles original will be the highlight of your own darling doll's trousseau!
