Cool spring breezes make a jacketed suit essential for chic seasonal dressing ! You will love this La Semainne de Suzette pattern of 1912 Costume Tailleur ( tailored suit ) I used a wonderful cotton weave; the weft having tiny slubs of candy-colored cotton tufts. The effect reminds me of a cupcake with multi- colored sprinkles :-)

The dress has a pleated skirt with hand embroidery at the hem. The bodice is crisp 100% linen, hand embroidered with silk floss.

The jacket has two layers of collar and cuffs- the first being linen and the second, hand- embroidered silk. I remained faithful to the original pattern and included the geometric motif on the jacket front with couched silk floss.

Her beautiful Spring chapeau is silk duoppion, lined with linen and trimmed with antique Val lace and mulberry rosebuds. I finish all of my millinery creations with the Bluebird Textiles label. I sized this ensemble to fit both vintage and reproduction Bleuettes.

Purchase with confidence. My creations will surpass your every expectation of fine materials, design and execution! The purchase of a Bluebird Textiles original will be the highlight of your own darling doll's trousseau!

Note: doll, socks and shoes are not included.
