Cuisine Voyage 2 ! Costume for Bleuette

Like most petit mademoiselles , your own darling Bleuette loves to help Maman in the kitchen. This was the inspiration for this lovely ensemble that combine two favorite La Semaine de Suzette patterns from the same era, 1907 Garden Apron, and 1908 Robe Empire.

The dress was sewn from a floral print cotton , and contrasting collar and bodice lining are crisp 100% silk. You will love the voluminous  gathered sleeves and the button detail at the front.

Her matching Swiss Paglina hat is trimmed with matching fabric band and bow. Its unlined and finished with the Bluebird Textiles label.

Her Cuisine Voyage apron is 100% natural linen with embroidered scallops of scarlet silk thread. The buttons are antique glass. The embroidery on the front was executed by hand with silk floss.

The extraordinary motif came from an old French needlework magazine. It is a design that was suggested for embroidered kitchen shelving linen called "Bandes de Cuisine". My heart stops when i picture of how such a kitchen would look!) I think that you will love this little French chef as he paddles himself away in a pot. Hooray for culinary adventures!

I sized this ensemble to fit both vintage and reproduction Bleuettes.

Purchase with confidence. My creations will surpass your every expectation of fine materials, design and execution! The purchase of a Bluebird Textiles original will be the highlight of your own darling doll's trousseau!
