110530.C CSSS Vase with Textured Surface

Brownstone stoneware vase with cracked surface and slip textured surface. Sodium silicate impregnated porcelain slip along with brownstone stoneware slip was used to create the textured surface on this vase. To allow the surface to retain its texture, the vase was thrown using only one hand from the inside of the pot.
