Daily Painting: Still Life

I painted a vase of flowers that was sitting in the living room.  But it's everything I don't want my work to be.  So it's not showing up here.  There's a ton of still-life flower paintings on Pinterest, and some of them knock my socks off.  Judy Thorley,  Tiffany Logan, and Heather Judge stand out for their expressive, abstract approach.  Thorley in particular uses colors beautifully, and Logan collages patterns onto her canvases. Judge creates dynamic compositions out of distorted poppies with snaking stems.  So inspiring!
