Recent Work I have spent the last couple years trying to stabilize the decline in my physical condition. Degenerative back and spine problems leave me incapacitated for long periods, particularly when the weather is cold. Art keeps me alive and helps diminish the pain. The new work is full of life and vivid color, my response to the pain is to work through it.

Drawings I started doing a lot of drawing again when I went onto the disability retirement. Drawing and painting are the only daily activities that don't cause pain.

I did participate in a plein air paint out and did receive a cash award and several works including mine were exhibited in the Northern California Museum of Art in Chico. The rest of the year was very disappointing.

2021 I finally got around to updating my work on this website and have bailed out of Northern California. That time spent was not a very pleasant experience but did provide plenty of motivation to leave considerable baggage behind and MOVE ON.
"5 5 5 Special" 2021 Summer Online Show I had one piece selected for this online show in the summer of 2021. The gallery is the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery and the work received a Special Mention Award.
November 2021 Nature Exhibition Two of five pieces submitted to the Light Space and Time Gallery "Nature" Exhibition selected and received Special Recognition awards.
Etsy Offerings I have donated 50 pieces to the mother of my young grandson to establish an online business venture and use the proceeds to help support him. Once her Etsy page is up I will put a link here. These are all 16"x20" works and are offered at the introductory price of $450 each. December 2021Trees and Fields Exhibition It was a very Merry Christmas, I received notification of acceptance to another exhibition and Honorable Mention Award for my piece "Redwood Glade". The Exhibition was the Art Room Gallery Online "Trees and Fields" Exhibition.
My work "October Sky" was selected for inclusion in the "Inspired by Vincent" Exhibition at the Herberger Theater in Phoenix, Arizona. The exhibit will be on display in Bob's Spot Gallery at the Herberger Theater from February 4th through the 27th of 2022. I will post pictures of the show following the opening. All works included in the exhibition were inspired by the work of Vincent Van Gogh who inspires virtually all of my work.
Art Show International Winter 2021 Grant Did not win the grant money but did receive another Special Mention Award. The piece selected for inclusion in the show is the same "October Sky" painting that will be hanging in the "Inspired by Vincent" Show during the month of February in Phoenix.
Art Show International Solo Show I just finished my submission for a Solo Show on the Art Show International online website. Most of the works featured here have been selected for a show and are in various exhibitions.
Art Show International 3rd Portrait 2022 My work "Picasso at the Altar of Art" was selected for inclusion in the Art Show International 3rd Portrait 2022 show and received an Honorable Mention Award.
Landscapes and Seascapes, 2022 Las Laguna Gallery accepted "Light in the Forest" for inclusion in the Landscapes and Seascapes, 2022 exhibition for the February Show. Oil on 20"x24" Canvas.
Art Show International 3rd Color I had a piece selected to this online show and won $25 for a "Talent Prize" award. I like what is emerging on my canvases.
Golden 50 Exhibition My piece Mojave Spring has been selected for inclusion in several shows including the Golden 50 and Over show at the Las Laguna Gallery. Oil on 24"x30" canvas.
Art Show International 4th Figurative My work "Picasso at the Altar of Art" was awarded an "Honorable Mention" award in the 2022 Art Show International Gallery's 4th Figurative Exhibition.
Joshua Tree National Park 2022 Show I've had a painting accepted to the brick and mortar show to hang in Twenty Nine Palms just out side of the Park. The show will hang through the month of November.
Artist's Choice Exhibition In October 2022 two works, "Lost Coast Reflections" and "Saguaro West Sunrise" were included in the Grey Cube Gallery's 3rd Artist's Choice Exhibition as Finalists.
2022 4th Color Exhibition My work "Morning Light" was selected for the Art Show International 2022 4th Color Exhibition, and won a Talent Award and $25 prize. This piece features the early morning rays of the rising sun over an alpine lake in southern Utah adjacent to the Grand Staircase/Escalante National Monument.
Nature Painting October 2022 The Global Painting Conclave online exhibition gallery selected my painting "Eucalyptus Grove" as a Finalist in their Nature Painting exhibition for October 2022.
2022 Art Show International 6th "Open" Two of my works, "Sierra Front" and "Diptych: Arizona Highlands" were included in this online exhibition and both received "Honorable Mention" Awards.
2022 All Figurative/Portrait Painting/Drawing Exhibition Contemporary Gallery Online featured three of my works in this exhibition. These works included "Bending Blue Notes", "Reflecting on Frida Kahlo", and "Picasso: At the Altar of Art".
6th Landscape Exhibition December 2022 My work "Grand Canyon" was selected as a "finalist" in the Art Show International Gallery 6th Landscape Exhibition that hangs for the month of December 2022.
