While waiting for an appointment, I picked up a publication
by the Positive Choice Wellness Center.
It contained an article, which confirmed what I already suspected
concerning sugar and high fructose corn syrup. The main point is how addictive and dangerous
sugar is to our health. High fructose
corn syrup is more dangerous, according to Dr. Robert Lustig, MD, a biochemist;
because of the way our body metabolize the fructose; it hits the liver quickly
and converts it to fat. Dr. Lustig,
states that “this extra fat stored in the liver induces a condition known as
insulin resistance or insulin resistant diabetes”. We now have children that are being diagnosed
with insulin resistant diabetes; which, doesn’t surprise me. I’ve been very concerned that the main
ingredient in infant formula is high fructose corn syrup solids. I began noticing that when feeding my
grandchildren and noticing the ingredients.
“High fructose corn syrup is the predominant sweetener used in soda,
