Good Harvest
Sherwood artist Glenn Beasley doubled up on the awards last Friday evening at the annual ALA Art Show held at Cantrell Gallery in west Little Rock. Beasley was the recipient of 1st place in the portrait/figure category for his painting "Hide & Seek" and also received the award for Best in Show with the work "Good Harvest" an 18 x 24 oil on linen depiction of a kneeling lady with a large straw hat working her garden under a noon day sun. The painting previously has been juried into last years 56th Delta exhibit at the Arkansas Arts Center and was featured in a article in the magazine "Eye on Fine Art" in March 2014. Both his works will be on display at Cantrell Gallery through the end of the exhibit on October 31.
