Glenn is a representational artist from Sherwood Arkansas where he has lived since 1990 with his wife Karen, a photographer and artist in her own right. His influences span from the old masters to the modern illustration geniuses such as Rockwell and Loomis and the new modern masters of realism today. He works in oils, charcoal and graphite and occasionally pastel. His primary focus is oils and any scene depicting people that can tell a story. In 2011, I was asked to explore creating artwork about the civil war which is a most difficult task when working strictly from vintage photographs of the era. ALA Art Show 2015
I would like to invite everyone to the opening night event of the annual Arkansas League of Artists art show held this year at Cantrell Gallery. Two of my paintings, "Hide and Seek" and "Good Harvest" were juried into the show which is being judged by award winning artist Carole Katchen. The awards ceremony will be from 5:30 to 6:00 pm on Friday, September 11th followed by the opening night reception from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
