The galvanised surface of the new wheel arches and light boxes required a primer which would allow the Nato green top coat to adhere. Once applied the Nato green could then be applied and left to dry.
A few other bolt on, armoured panels were painted at the same time (rust removed, a coat of red oxide then a final layer of Nato green.)
