The auxiliary wiring looms which supply the front headlights, sidelights indicators and horn had been connected in Phase one for functionality to power the horn and indicators whilst driving the Pig during the daytime.
This was a temporary measure with the looms cable tied in place and terminated with crimp type connectors.
For Phase two the old corroded metal sheathing was removed and replaced with a nylon braid with all connections re terminated in the original solder bucket type bullet connectors. The missing threaded spacers to which the loom clips were made on a small lathe and welded in place. The covering box was then modified with a bulkhead grommet, welded tab and internal weld nut for securing to the wing.
