Reiki

What is Reiki? The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

Most people say that a treatment usually feels very relaxing, like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well being. Many have reported miraculous results.

When his students inquired how Jesus performed healings, and how he taught his disciples to heal, Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist monk decided to retreat to a mountain to pray and to meditate. There he received instructions and was Divinely inspired to share the information he learned in order to heal physical,spiritual and emotional ailments. Mikao Usui also decided to add the Reiki Ideals to the energetic practice of Reiki. The Ideals came in part from the five prinicples of the Meiji emperor of Japan whom Mikao Usui admired. The Ideals were developed to add spiritual balance to Usui Reiki. Their purpose is to help people realize that healing the spirit by consciously deciding to improve oneself is a necessary part of the Reiki healing experience. In order for the Reiki healing energies to have lasting results, the client must accept responsibility for her or his healing and take an active part in it. Therefore, the Usui system of Reiki is more than the use of the Reiki energy. It must also include an active commitment to improve oneself in order for it to be a complete system. The ideals are both guidelines for living a gracious life and virtues worthy of practice for their inherent value.

I am a Reiki Master trained in the Usui tradition with over 20 years experience. Although I adore Reiki and implement it as my main healing modality, I work in a Shamanistic fashion, blending energetic techniques from Pranic healing and Native American tradition as well. In addition, I implement crystals and Young Living essential oils to protect and strengthen the aura, for grounding and balancing and other oils specific to the needs of the client if desired.

During a 1 hour interactive session, I will cleanse your aura, remove congested energy, balance and energize your chakras and address any emotional and physical symptoms. Images, symbols and messages often  come through as beneficial guidance. I am not psychic. I am merely a channel who transmits healing energy and often times energy can be encoded in a way that it can be interpreted for your constructive use. The messages and symbols which the Holy Spirit sends may not make sense to me as each person has his her own specific symbolic language. If it is your desire, I will be happy to share the information that is sent for you and record it on a form for your future reflection. 

If you would prefer a silent 45 or 30 minute session, healing will take place on a deep energetic level to the relaxing sound of Solfeggio frequency music, without the distraction of interactive conversation.
